Apple is currently developing a 35W Dual-Port USB Type-C Power Adapter

Apple may be preparing to offer an updated version of its 35W wall adapter. This information is based on a rumoured support document that was temporarily released on Apple's official website.

This new 35W power adapter is said to include twin USB Type-C charging connections, a first for the Cupertino, California-based corporation. With a power rating of 35W, it may be used to charge many iPhones or accessories at the same time.

Apple has not confirmed the existence of this dual-port charger, although it is likely to be released this year.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple quickly removed the supposed support document, which stated the availability of a 35W power adaptor with twin USB Type-C connectors.

According to reports, the charger might handle the following USB Power Delivery charging modes: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/2.33A, and 20V/1.75A. According to reports, there is no clear indication in the alleged paper whether Apple intends to put this charger into production or discard it completely.

Apple may introduce this twin USB Type-C port power converter alongside a new MagSafe Duo model. According to the reported support document, Apple will not provide a USB Type-C cable with the adaptor if it is published.

Notably, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has speculated that this may be the new power adaptor that he alluded to before. It is scheduled to enter mass production in 2022, with a shipment of up to 2-3 million units.

For a small and light construction, this power adapter is expected to use gallium nitride (GaN) technology. Apple previously employed GaN technology in the 140W charger that came with the MacBook Pro 2021. It has also been used by third-party manufacturers like as Belkin and Anker to provide multiple-port charging adapters.
