Al Qaeda Leader attempts to incite Indian Muslims over the Karnataka hijab controversy.

The worldwide terrorist organisation Al Qaeda has produced a new video of its elusive leader Ayman al-Zawahiri on the hijab controversy in Karnataka. Zawahiri criticised India, claiming that the hijab dispute exposed the realities of 'Hindu India' and its democracy.

The video was posted on Tuesday by Shabab media, the official AQ spokesman. Zawahiri urges Indian Muslims to respond to this "oppression" in the nine-minute video.

Zawahiri emphasised the hijab debate and applauded Muskaan, the lady who responded to the "Jai Shree Ram" chant being raised at her campus with her own "Alahu Akbar" call. Zawahiri refers to Muskaan as "India's lovely lady," and even reads poems in her honour.

Zawahiri also targeted nations that have banned the hijab, such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. He referred to them as Western countries' allies.

The video puts an end to speculations of his death. He is still alive and well, keeping abreast of all the current happenings in India and its neighbouring nations. Since the killing of Osama bin Laden, Zawahiri has been in charge of Al Qaeda.

The hijab debate in Karnataka began in January of this year. Some female pupils at a government school in Udupi were barred from wearing hijab to class. Since then, there have been both pro-hijab and anti-hijab demonstrations.

The case was heard by the Karnataka High Court, which found that hijab is not an integral aspect of Islam and agreed to the state government's ban on Muslim girls and women wearing head scarves at educational institutions.
