Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G Specifications Revealed; Snapdragon 778G SoC Could Be Included

The Xiaomi 12 series is set to receive a new member very soon. Xiaomi is apparently working on a Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G phone, which will be released in China and other regions very soon.

Now, a fresh leak has revealed the next smartphone's characteristics. Though there has been no official confirmation from the smartphone manufacturer, tipster Yogesh Brar has disclosed the device's full features and projected cost.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has just confirmed the introduction of the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India, although no date has been revealed.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G would include a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 778G SoC is reported to power it.

The gadget is rumoured to include 128GB or 256GB of internal storage and up to 8GB of RAM. In terms of software, the leaked specifications indicate that the smartphone would run Android version 12 with the MIUI 13 user interface on top. The smartphone has a triple-camera arrangement on the back.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G camera module is believed to have a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The primary sensor will provide optical image stabilisation. The smartphone is believed to include a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

According to reports, a 4,500mAh battery with 67W rapid charging capabilities would keep the lights on. The specs released correspond to an earlier leak from March. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and Hi-Res Audio compatibility. It will also include 5G connection, dual-band Wi-Fi, and other features.
