According to reports, the iPhone 15 might include a periscope telephoto lens

The iPhone 15 may come with a periscopic telephoto lens. This technology has yet to be included in the company's devices. On the other hand, companies such as Samsung already provide this capability.

According to a recent story, Apple may have reached an arrangement with a South Korean lens provider to supply it with these lenses in the future. These might be periscopic telephoto lenses for the iPhone 15 models, which are set to be released in 2023.

According to The Elec, Apple has reached an arrangement with Jahwa Electronics to supply periscopic telephoto lenses for the iPhone 15 series. South Korean lens suppliers have revealed intentions to invest KRW 191 billion (about Rs. 1,188.9 crore) in the development of a new facility in Gumi, South Korea.

The business already has facilities that produce optical image stabilisers (OIS) actuators for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The construction of a new factory is said to imply that Jahwa may have received large investments as part of a new arrangement. The new facility is scheduled to begin production in March 2023.

Furthermore, Apple is said to have visited Jahwa's OIS production line in 2021. Typically, the Cupertino corporation requests that its suppliers construct separate, dedicated production lines for its parts. The new Gumi facility would still need to be authorised by Apple before production could begin, which might take nearly a year.

This information is consistent with a previous claim that said Apple may equip their 2023 iPhone models with periscopic telephoto lenses. The back cameras on the company's 2022 models are also likely to be improved. To lessen the size of the display notch, it might even use a unibody lens design for the selfie camera.
