Students subjected to unnatural sexual abuse; Madrasa teacher Ashraf arrested

Chittariparambu (Kannur): A madrasa teacher has been arrested in a POCSO case for allegedly subjecting 10 and 12-year-old students to unnatural sexual abuse. Ashraf Kulathoor, a native of Perinthalmanna, who teaches at a madrasa in Kannavam police station limits, was arrested by the Kannavam police on the complaint of parents.

He took over as a teacher at the madrasa some days ago. Though he went into hiding after learning about the complaint, he was taken into custody from Kozhikode through his mobile phone location. There is a similar case against him in Malappuram as well.
