Madrasa teacher caught for sexually molesting 11-year-old girl

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have detained a madrassa teacher in a POCSO case. Salahuddin (50), a native of Mankad in Kadakkal, was arrested by Ayiroor police.

At 7 a.m. on the 11th, the 11-year-old girl arrived at the madrassa for religious studies when she was abused by the teacher. When her mother noticed an irregularity in the child's behaviour when she arrived home and enquired about it, the girl told the police that the madrassa teacher had harassed her.

Then filed a police report in Ayiroor. Based on the complaint, the confidential statement of the survivor was recorded and a case was registered under POCSO sections. The accused Salahuddin was arrested on Thursday morning and his arrest was documented. The accused was brought before the court and remanded.
