Madrassa teacher arrested for molesting student in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: A madrassa teacher has been arrested in a POCSO case in Chandiroor. Muhammed (63), a native of Arookutty, was arrested in the wee hours. The Aroor police received a complaint last night that a madrassa student was sexually abused.

The complaint is that the child was being abused for a month. It is suspected that the accused molested more students in the madrassa. An investigation into the matter is in progress. The accused will be produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
