Madrasa teacher who molested an eight-year-old girl was sentenced to 7 years in prison and fined

Kerala Madrasa teacher jailed for seven years and fined Rs. 1.5 lakh for sexually assaulting a minor girl Manjeri POCSO fast track court passed the verdict.

Judge PT Prakashan convicted Therammal Abubakar (54) of Kutilangadi Kozunj for the crime of molesting an eight-year-old girl.

Abubakar molested the girl when he was a Madrasa teacher in Mancheri Papinippara Alumkunn.

The case alleges that the child was sexually assaulted several times between January 2016 and April 23.

The torture was done inside the class by making a cover with a curtain.

The information about the abuse came out when the child complained to the mother.

It was the maternal uncle who informed the child line. Mancheri police registered a case as per Child Line instructions.
