THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 17-year-old girl was found dead at Islamic religious school in Balaramapuram. The deceased has been identified as Asmiya Mol, a native of Beemapalli. The girl's relatives lodged a complaint with the police alleging mystery in her death.
The girl was found hanging at a religious study centre in Balaramapuram yesterday. Asmiya studied here while staying.
Azmia's relatives alleged that she had faced harassment from the institute authorities. Her relatives said the girl had complained about the establishment after the last eid. The girl had called his mother at 2 pm on May 13th and asked her to reach Balaramapuram.
The authorities did not allow her to meet her daughter at first when she reached the institute within an hour and a half. Later, it was informed that the child was lying dead in the bathroom. A case of unnatural death has been registered in the incident and an investigation has been launched.
