14-year-old boy raped while studying religion; Madrasa teacher Irshad Ali arrested; Police launch search for another teacher

PALAKKAD: A madrasa teacher has been detained for reportedly committing an unnatural rape on a student who went to Thrithala to learn Islam. Irshad Ali, a resident of Nilgirikottai in Tamil Nadu, has been named as the madrasa teacher who was detained. In response to the boy's family's complaint, the police detained Irshad Ali.

A child, age 14, was raped by him. Irshad Ali  works as a teacher at a madrasa in Thirumittakode panchayat's Karukaputhur. He used to often assault the child when he came to study Islam, the parents' lawsuit claims. The child's family just underwent counselling as a result of seeing irregularities in the child's behaviour. The event became public after this.

A boy was allegedly also abused by another madrasa instructor, according to the police. The police have begun looking for him. More children may have been abused by teachers, according to suspicions. In this context, the police have also opened an inquiry.
